Blimey the Ingram-Moores’ antics wind me up!

Shame they’ll probably get away with it but they come across …. Badly.

I cycled their house not long and saw their private spa being removed in a skip. They don’t care about planning laws either

“The commission concluded, however, that the actions of the family did not represent criminal behaviour and it had not passed its findings to police.”

So yes, they will get away with it.

Although the money that Tom Moore raised by walking up and down his garden did all go to the NHS.

I am not sure that it will significantly undermine the public’s trust with charities, hopefully though it might make them more sceptical of individuals who are instantly hailed as heroes by newspapers desperate for a story to sell. Obviously Caption Tom was sound but that doesn’t automatically mean that everyone associated with him were, as events proved.

Apparently their conduct didn’t quite meet the high bar of “criminal”.  They will always be tainted though and everyone now knows what they’ve done.  Their reputation is shot and they’ll never recover it.  I suspect the whiff around them will haunt them for the rest of their days.

I’m glad it’s concluded this way. Had the misfortune of meeting her and she made my skin crawl. Good to see the charity commission lifted the mask.

Interacting with veterans over the years I’ve met a few individuals who were clearly exploiting the fame/position of their veteran family member.

Collected some free logs from a neighbour of Cap’t Toms daughter shortly after lockdown. Apparently they’re not a very popular family in Marston, snooty etc. This was before the charity swindle.

Not really…. He could have done better in teaching his daughter not to be a cheating ****.

Hardly. It’s not a failing of a parent to raise a child that doesn’t have your own values. Just sad.

From the moment that went viral and the money started pouring in, there were people queuing up to be associated with it.

They’ve apparently put their house up for sale, moving on for a quieter life somewhere else – wouldn’t surprise me if they end up under a new name somewhere or just disappear off abroad.

The newspaper article I read suggested they weren’t well liked in the village…

It’s a little depressing that when a pandemic hit, some people, a tiny minority mind you, thought, “great opportunity to make money here.”

I’m thinking about the likes of Mone really but this is pretty insidious too.
