Kimbers was trying to be a clever little boy whilst referring to the premiership footballer v twitter topic. As there was best part of a dozen threads closed last night he thought he’d try to be funny but just got modded instead.

Weather looks a little like last year … poor Sat then getting better.

Saying that, I’ve been coaching at CyB today and the forecast was really bad … we didn’t get wet!

It’s the post script (.ps) file I used for creating my Caldera Clone, as detailed on the other thread

oh ok, I thought it was a gov’t secret file on the black art of backpacking in mid Wales 😉

That Caldera looked great the other week, even though it melted a tad it certainly improved the performance of your stove

Yes, 0.15mm foil is too thin. Interesting that the genuine Caldera one is 0.25mm. If I could get hold of some, then I can make one with the fissures in it so it can be split into two pieces for easier storage, which is something that the Caldera ones don’t do…

Yori, or whatever his name is said it would be sunny last year.
    BLOODY LIAR.
I was stripping off on the petrol station forecourt in ponterwyd last year I was so cold and wet. Got quite a few dissaproving looks while semi naked.

Quick question – if I wanted to attach a bottle cage to my fork legs that don’t have specific bosses, what would I need and where can would I buy it from?

My favorite memory from last year was wading waist deep through the bog at the end of the Monks Trod on Saturday evening, desperately trying to get to the pub at Ffair Rhos. Oh and the bit when the landlord said we could dry all our clothes in his tumble dryer wasn’t bad either 🙂

I have a couple you can borrow if you don’t want to buy any, or try before you buy type thing.

@IanB the mounts in the pic work great … look like they shouldn’t but do 😉

No complaints about the weather please … I’ll be out guiding today and am willing to take the full brunt of it for you, so it’ll be nice next weekend. Surely there can only be so much rain 😀

Hmmm, think I’ve decided on what tyres. I put some fast rolling Specialized Fast Traks on the bike yesterday but they weren’t as chunky as I remember them being when I rode them to and around the Picos de Europa a couple of years ago so I put the similar sized & more grippy Maxxis Ignitors back on.

So I’ve now moved onto my next WRT dilemma. 105mm or 120mm travel forks? 😕

Slugwash my thoughts with the bike loaded I wont be ragging the bike so depends if you want to win the heavyweight prize?? If so choose the heaviest 😉

Tyres I am going with the fast rolling Bonty’s I have mininmal knobbly bits to give me all the assistance I can get.

I’ve got bored of weighing stuff, so just raided the gearboxes, assumed it Wales and it will be wetter than a crushed melon.

Met Office have issued extreme warning for Wales this week for the high winds, and thunder showers for Thursday 😆

The bike is loaded managed to get everything bar waterproofs stashed onboard, and god knows what the weight is as I’ve gone prepared for lousy weather. 😯 Now the postman needs to be a good guy and get my stuff to me!

There’s a section of the forest here that got christened ‘otters pocket’ after my very first ride 😀

Edit: Forecast said very heavy rain and thunderstorms for today, instead we’ve had some wind and a little light rain 😉
