dannyboy – mail me at jason(dot)wood252(at)o2(dot)co(dot)uk – my better half is a specialist physio dealing with women's health (rather her than me!). I'll see if she's got any info or web links I can send you.

Yup, agreed, my physio told me cycling is generally quite bad for core strength expecially at the lower end of the body. I'm having to do core excercises to fix my back issues caused by lots of cycling and sitting.

I agree with all the above.
It's never improved my core strength.

Does anyone know if skiing helps?

Surely it depends how you ride your bike.. would have thought DHers, Dirtjumpers, Trials riders and 4X riders would have pretty good core strength.

I use other exercises to strengthen my core.

She should look up kegals etc.

Can she still clench you super tight during sex with her vagina muscles?
(you don't have to answer this here!)

Does she pass urine when she laughs, coughs or sneezes?

She can also see her GP for advice but loads of exercises available.

Also during menopause when oestrogen drops, muscle tone can get slack too.

Core strength (abs etc) is very different to pelvic floor strength. You need specific exercises for the PF muscles
