Girls beer….Brun is where it’s at.
Liking St Steffanus but I get thrown out of Waitrose for being….well ….me and can’t find it elsewhere.

Tried it a few weeks back. Did not like it at all. Much prefer:

Ton, too sweet. Tried the Honey beers and Banana bread beers which were nice but Leffe was sickly sweet for me.

Leffe is not a beer, it’s a lager.

    Far too sweet for me.
Saint Feuillen grand cru is my latest discovery, wonderful stuff without the usual Belgian infatuation for adding spices, fruit or whatever else they can get their hands on.

I thought Leffe was a wheat beer?

Not found a honey beer I like yet, that banana bread beer is awful stuff. I like some maple beers even though I dislike maple syrup. Go figure

Don’t think any Leffe is wheat beer? Although Hoegaarden is, which is part of the same macro group.

    Honey/nectar sounds interesting.

Banana beer sounds rank. Get more than enough banana flavour from a natural German wheat beer.

Yep way too sweet for me, tried that and the ruby when they came out and one was enough.

    Much prefer the Brune.

I already find Bruin to be fairly sweet – how much sweeter is it ?

Out of the mainstream Belgians, I’ll take a Duvel please.

    Slightly less mainstream, Delirium Tremens.

Hard to quantify ‘how much sweeter’ but I found it sickly sweet

You can pick the Karmeleit up in Waitrose…not as cheap as Belgium though.

I came here here to make the comment that it’s sickly sweet and that I like Leffe Brun. I see I am not alone.

My main (only gripe) with Brun is that all my local shops only stock the 750ml bottles. One is simply not enough, but two is too much unless your on a tear, or don’t have much on the next day.

Don’t drink much beer these days, but this one from Alsace is worth it for the label alone 😀

I’m going to have to nip into Tesco on the way back from my ride tonight and grab a few of those Leffe’s to try

If you like honey beers the Enville Ale is one of my faves. And my local has just started selling it which is good as we are only a stone’s throw from the brewery.

Not as sweet as other honey beers. Very very easy to drink!

The nectar is okay occasionally but a bit sweet really
    Royale Cascade IPA ftw though

Ton you’re right it is indeed nectar, it’s the best honey beer I’ve tried so far, very nice!
The ruby is the only Leffe I’ve tried so far that I don’t really like.
I’m loving hobgoblin gold at the moment, golden hoppy summer beer mmmm

Leffe Radieuse is a notch up from the Brun.
Shame you can’t buy it in the UK (at sensible prices anyway!)

One nectar I enjoy. Two I find too much so I’d usually switch onto one of the other Leffe offerings. Mind you I’d say the same about Leffe Ruby too.

Love getting the Leffe selection pack in France in holidays 🙂

Rituel is the 9% iirc, loved that in France shame I’ve not seen it over here.

Tend to stick with the Brune but the Ruby and Nectar are occasional buys and both pretty decent.

Haven’t tried the others but may put an order in for a mixed case if I can find one…
