Parkers have steel inners for £1.99 a go, and stainless ones for £3.99 – at least that’s the only difference I can see.

Is there any reason to get the more expensive ones? Maybe normal steel isnt really UK winter friendly?

    cheers

I buy my inners from Wilkinsons for £1 each.

They are as good as those £4 ones. 🙂

“Normal steel” cables are galvanized; they rust and then bind or even break. Even in Gore cable systems! (Yes, the $$$ Gore cables are not stainless!)

I’ll only use stainless ones. Find them at a good price some time and buy a bunch; they won’t spoil!
