I’ve been privy to sections of the report for a while now. Somewhere in there it reports that at least two crew members were still alive (but likely unconscious) before they hit the water.

Daffy – I think you’re confusing it with the challenger accident – the crew of columbia died within a couple of minutes of the start of the event…..
