Its a new moon, have you lights for 10 hours?

Ensure you’ve a full set of kit in the mid-point bag, in case you’re soaking.

did it a few years back – awesome ride. the last 2 food stops had burgers and cups of tea respectively. ACE 🙂

the weather was funny as later on (should that be earlier) there as cold had descended into the valleys so the tops were cool but the valleys were freezing.

remember to keep eating as you go – your body can tell you funny things over night.

tent at the end is well reccomended. even 2 hours sleep made a massive difference to a safe drive home.

have fun. wish i was coming. 🙂

Its good fun, I’ve done it twice but I have never done it in the rain. I guess the key things for any long ride are eat plenty, wear decent comfy kit, and yes, take a tent so you can have a rest at the end. Fast tyres are in order on SDW so nothing too heavy. Its nothing to get nervous about.
