I’ve developed a case of this and it doesn’t seem to be getting any better, to the extent to which I have to slouch when sitting down on a chair ’cause it’s sore. I haven’t been doing excessive amounts of cycling – did a 70 mile road ride some weeks back but usually 40-50 miles during a week which is a mix of on and off road. Has anyone been through this and how do I best recover?

Straight to DR,S it could be something else, which is quite serious.

You may have dislocated it, I have done mine and I’ve had to have cortizone and anesthetic injections. A really clear symptom is if it hurts lots as you stand up after sitting.

Yep – hurts when sitting up after I’ve been sitting. A visit to the doc methinks…
