Pulled a massive broadside on a mini roundabout as a car came straight across me from the left and shouted out to me, and I quote ‘CYCLISTS DON’T HAVE RIGHT OF WAY ON ROUNDABOUTS’ must have taken me 1/2 mile before I clocked what she said 😯

its one of those times you wish you were bulletproof or something, and able to survive the impact if she hit you, as I would of loved to be on court or near the attending police officer, when she tried to use that as her defense.

I’ll keep a look out for her when I need a new bike. Planet X SL Pros are worth 3.5K aren’t they 😉

Is it national drive like a **** day?

What’s worrying is I get this a lot, this beleif that certain traffic control systems don’t apply to cyclists.
Do you think a person could go through the whole system of learning how to drive and passing their test without ever being told or asked about other road users?

I had a similar on Monday. Country lane, just coming out of a 30 limit. I’m doing 20 and beginning to pull out to overtake a slower cyclist.
There’s a car coming the other way so I’m holding back when the Merc behind me just pulls out and overtakes.
He sees the car coming and jams himself between the (car length) gap between me and the cyclist.
My brakes went full on and I had to ride into the hedge to stop myself rear ending the car. I managed to stay on and gave his car a whack as I stopped, just out of sheer anger really. No damage, just a slap with my hand.
Did he apologise, no, gave me the finger.
I’m still angry at his arrogance. He was driving aggressively, made a mistake, nearly took two cyclists out and his attitude was it was my fault for pointing out how dangerous this was.
I guess he was a selfish @rse before he got in his car of course.
Just annoys me I can come so close to being hospitalised because someone else makes a mistake and isn’t willing to take cyclists needs into account…

brooess glad to hear you’re OK. sounds awful. I want to slap some drivers sometimes, but they’re driving tonnes of car…too scared.

Stopped at a red light today, a car turns towards me, cuts in close, and the driver yells ‘F*C*ER!’. Cycling must be a very offensive activity.

Twice in two days I’ve had cars overtake me right before a roundabout then pull in and indicate left, whilst slamming on the brakes. Idiots, yesterday was in the middle of a TT too
