and just what is in the brief case?

and how come Sean Bean doesn’t actually die?

These, and many more, are questions I feel need answering after watching the film for the 3rd time.

To be honest, I don’t think anyone in the SAS would have a clue what colour the boathouse is in Hereford anyway since their time would be spent in either Pontrilas or Credenhill.

    Good film mind.

Has the colour confusion moved on from dresses and shoes to boathouses now?

Sean Bean’s character was so pathetic he wasn’t worth killing.

Great car chase. You can’t beat french stunt drivers.

A MacGuffin. Which is a bit like a McMuffin, only rarer.

Watched it on a long haul flight back when they had a few film channels, all on continuous loop so no stop, start, rewind etc. Nodded off just before the end and woke up as the credits were rolling. What the hell was in the briefcase I wondered so watched the whole film again to find out.

Random fact but ive slept in Natascha McElhone’s bed……..unfortunately she wasn’t in it at the time (it turned out the fancy Cotswalds cottage we’d booked a few years ago belonged to her).

Still a good movie but De Niro doesn’t convince in the driving scenes or pronouncing Hereford.

Love that film, knew it instantly from the thread title.

Did I read somewhere that the stunt drivers worked from the back of the cars with the actors up front for some of the scenes?

Still some of the best car chases in a film without Matrix style weirdness.

I’m doing some work for a ‘client’ in Hereford; will ask.

Ronin, just in case anyone is still wondering.

As soon as that S8 turned up, I thought, yeah, that’s a really good choice. I’d like one of them, wouldn’t even need to be the S. Aluminium body, nice engineering.

Much as I would have loved an S8 my budget didn’t get me the spec I was looking for so settled for an ‘executive’ 4.2 V8 long wheelbase.
I can only imagine how impressive an S8 would be; massively beyond my driving abilities, that’s for sure!

Not seen the film… but I’ve rowed inside that rowing club boat house. Yes, inside it. I’d have answered the question with “blue” though. Could have sworn it was. Perhaps it is riverside.

Garage dweller- the star cars were rhd with mocked up lhd steering wheels and dashs.
So Bobby was sat in a moving car turning the the steering wheel while the bloke next to him was driving.

I recall that the cars were fitted with “double dashboards”. Deniro would be sawing away at a wheel that wasn’t connected with the car being driven from the passenger seat side.

My pal was on his uni placement year in France when they filmed it, he’s sitting at one of the outdoor cafe tables in the plaza at one point.

Good film, although the ‘here-ford’ is jarring. No idea what colour the boathouse is.
