nice to use a base for berwyns riding, cafe is ok. Run by mad hippies that have got progressively stranger over the years to the point where it’s more of a “retreat” than a campsite these days. You can still camp and have a fire (which is ace) but they have a strict no alcohol policy as it ruins the vibe of the leylines and sprittuality of the place. Also be prepared to wander out of your tent and see the odd stark naked crusty meandering about if they have a sweat lodge on in one of the other fields.
If you want a nice quiet night with the family it’s mellow. We used to use it as a base for walking and riding, but since it’s gone a bit too mungbean for the lads we leave it for those purposes. (we were never loud or played music, but did enjoy a quiet beer around the fire after a long day out.)
waterfalls are nice though (pic from a couple of weeks ago)
