    Is it a good idea to do this ride at this time of year?
    Iv never been so id appreciate some advice on this one.

    Time of year is not as important as weather I’d suggest, specifically visibility. I’d not hesitate to ride it xmas day tbh. There’s no bad weather, only bad tyres.

    Snow from about the half way station at the moment, should be in proper winter mode after this weekend if it holds.

    there’s snow from just below clogwyn station. there was a group of guys at halfway this morning I was chatting to who were doing it. I suspect that there will be more snow coming.

    I did it last Thursday, and I reckon if there’s much more snow it’ll lose some of its appeal. The last drag up to where the Rangers branches off was much worse than usual in the snow, and whilst the bit of the Rangers that was snow covered was actually really fun if it packs down and freezes it won’t be so much.

    Was up there walking last weekend, lovely autumn day, cold and clear. No snow to speak of. As above, depends on the weather – middle section of Rangers visible in this picture
