Saw a small cutthroat at the weekend -in the wild.

Liked it. Looked to be a fun distance MTB.

My ti “built as an adventure” bikes getting on – 10+ years and I can’t help but think being a lynskey built ti frame that gets abused I’m. On borrowed time.

Tempted to save over the componants shortages period and update.

Then I saw the shop images of a large and I need a 58cm…….pass the eye bleach.

How ever having dealt with shop images on the other side in the past….they don’t always look as bad in the real life so….

Show me your large V2 cutthroat convince me they are not ugly.

More so – how do you find it ?

I did the TD on a Charge Cooker Ti hardtail and got a 58cm V2 Cutty just before doing the AMR. I only ride the cooker now if the conditions are going to be atrocious, it just doesn’t ride anywhere near as nicely.

I was going to get a 56 but after chatting to Salsa the 58 better replicates my Large Fargo sizing. It is a big bike without much standover bit it’s not for gnarr really. For long days in the saddle it’s superb.
The stock 44cm cowchippers are far too narrow and really hinder it. I now have 50cm redshift kitchen sinks and it’s better in every way.

Yeah that’s not helping. Still ugly. Although the pink one does make it look slightly better by masking some of the geometry issues that make the large one ugly

    Shame.

Might cut my knees at the legs to fit a small.

The original v1 blue and orange was the best looker in the large sizes I liked the concept at the time but the geometry didn’t look great.
