Someone over the weekend suggested that it is possble to put a bearing in a shock eye instead of a bush and reducer?
it would require an outer diameter that pushed snugly into the shock eye, and an inner diameter that fitted the size of the pin/bolt thingy?
it could be a needle/roller bearing that is as wide as they eye, or a pair of ball type bearings?
    has anyone done this?
im the type of person with too much time on thier hands, so after every couple of rides spins bearings round to stop them from wearing in once specific place, so excessive loads shouldnt be a problem…

    has anyone done this?
    why isnt it used generally?

    why isnt it used generally?

Because bushings transfer load better in the small space available. Plus they are often better for applications with a limited range of rotation.
They are also cheap to replace and require no maintainence.
