Hi, Are the Shimano direct mount chainrings common to the Deore M6100 cranks as well as the slx M7100 / xt m8100? I want a 30t to replace my 32t currently fitted to my Deore m6100 crank. Any recommendations on what brand to buy would be helpful too.

    Thanks

Yep, if it is Shimano direct mount then it will fit them all.

Personally I would just buy a Shimano one – and indeed after having problems with a Burgtec that is exactly what I did. The Burgtec was noisy and suffered chain suck because it appeared one half of the narrow/wide tooth pair was just slightly too wide for my shimano 12s chain

Uberbike and unite so them and both have 20% off sales on. I’ve got a oneup oval which is a nice design, as you can replace the ring only with the direct mount spider remaining in place.

I use Blackspire snaggletooth on M8100 with hg+ chain, my Unite ring dropped the chain during a bit of backpedalling in the big cogs, this doesn’t happen with Blackspire, Lewis Buchanan had chain retention issues with the Unite ring during an enduro race a few months back so maybe the tooth profile isn’t as good as others.
