Any recommendations for a wireless security camera setup please? Is there a setup that allows any form of recording with a wireless system, either to a hard drive or via the cloud. I need it mainly for outside use but would like to perhaps add internal cameras while away from home for any period of time but not permanently fixed.

We use Blink cameras in the office, and have outside and inside units.

I think, and I could be wrong, they only record when they sense movements and not continuously.. But that has never been a downside for us.
They are pretty cheap, and you can keep adding extra units to them

We’ve got a mix of the powered versions, and the completely stand-alone units, which use 2xAA batteries.
Seem to last around 3 months on a battery change which is decent.

And it costs £6.99 per month for the cloud storage, which again I really don’t think is too bad at all.

For the ease of setup, lack of cabelling, and just how easy it is to add another random camera purely by ordering it on Amazon.. I would recommend these every time!

I’ve got a doorbell camera and have just bought an additional camera of the same brand. I’m now questioning the value of the extra camera. I think it’s too discrete to be an obvious deterrent, most cameras are. So I’m either going to see nothing happening, someone perhaps scouting things out but not attempting anything, and finally possibly (all though I very much hope not) someone actually breaking in/stealing something.

The first situation is the ideal. The second is possibly paranoia inducing (i.e. I’d rather not know) and would the camera actually help in the third situation?

    Went with eufy s330s.

Pictures good. Night visions good. Charge off solar.  Use approx 1-2% per day so hopefully make it through to the brighter weather.

    Apps slightly clunky
