SDW Double – Start & Finish Points ?

I am looking at attempting this sooner than than later but as i live in Hove would rather start from Devils Dyke and do the double back to there, does it have to be a Winchester or Eastbourne start ?

Interesting question that; but i’d imagine it does need to be the same start/finish to go for offical recognition or the record attempt.

…just my opinion though, unsubstantiated!

Are you going for the record or just as a personal challenge?

If it’s the latter then start and finish where you want.

Its only for personal and maybe charity but still want a sub 24. i will try to contact Rory @ Upgrade then to see what the situation is.

as above if you ride it twice then it’s a double for your purposes – no one’s going to say ‘well, that doesn’t count do it again from Eastbourne’

Did this when I lived in Hove, and my original plan for the route was Hove – Winchester – Eastbourne – Hove.
But the two people who did it with me said that it was against the law, and we had to do Eastbourne – Winchester – Eastbourne. Which made it logistically more difficult for no good reason.
