    A Maxxis TRS!

I’ll be waiting for the Exo version myself

Looks good to me, my sort of tyre. It’ll have a hard job replacing either the dhr2 or the argotal in my rubber fetishy affections though.

    1.4kg each? By heck.

I think it’s most like a Hillbilly in terms of pattern, but with a better choice of casings and compounds – a winner, hopefully.

A Hillbilly with MaxxGrip sounds perfect (although T9 is better than MaxxTerra IMO).

    Pretty standard for DH Maxxis

    WTB Verdict anyone?

Much more like a Verdict than a Mary of Hillbilly.

People who’ve not ridden one won’t get the importance of those edge knobs.

I’ve seen a part code for 29×2.4 EXO+ version.  No idea on delivery though.

In keeping with Maxxis’ commitment to using sustainable materials and processes wherever possible, the latest iteration of the High Roller ships in fully recyclable packaging, and the hanger features cardboard made of 75% recycled paper with recyclable plastic straps instead

    of zip ties

Just move that deck chair a little to the left please Edward….

I’ll be curious to see how the gap between center and side knobs feels. Will it be pronounced like a DHF/DHR? Or less noticeable, like a Mary?

“Much more like a Verdict than a Mary of Hillbilly.”

It’s similar to both the Verdict and the new Hillbilly – the previous one had smaller spikier side knobs whilst the current one has bigger thicker side knobs that work better on hard/dry ground.

“I’ll be curious to see how the gap between center and side knobs feels.”

Looks like there isn’t as big a gap as on a DHF or HR2 so should have minimal drift as you lean it over – the Hillbilly is certainly far nicer than both those in that respect. The MM is different because it has that group of 3 knobs in the middle that give you the transition, a bit like the Assegai.

Just seen one in the flesh. Looks very much like an Argotal, Chunkier HRII side knobs, cantered like a Magic Mary. Same centre knobs ish as the Argotal. Much beffier than the Shorty 2 that was hanging next to it.

Arriving in shops now in the DH and DD, but at £75 and £80 I’ll wait a bit! Or maybe Conti’ll get the missing versions of the Argotal out first but they’ll be a million quid too.
