    Hey all

I have just bought some shimano road shoes that i plan to use with eggbeaters. The shoes appear to accept standard road three hole cleats as well as two hole MTB type cleats. Crank brothers make both two and three hole cleats for road shoes. Does it really matter which I opt for. Also is there any particular reason why I couldnt use standard mtb eggbeater cleats rather than the two hole road version?

    Cheers

the road cleats have a raised platform to walk on, to protect the cleat.
and you could use two or three hole cleats. get the three, that way if you upgrade your shoes, you’ll have the three hole cleat already
