More general BBC article on old railway tunnels: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-38170694

Sounds awesome! Hopefully this goes ahead. I must admit when I did Ride London a few years ago one of the best bits was being able to ride through the Blackwall Tunnel before the proper ride started!

Looking at the BBC article, there’s massive scope for this sort of thing. Would be great to have more fun & traffic free cycling routes! Anyone got any decent cycle tunnels near them?!

They should put the cars in tunnels and let us cycle in the countryside.

I agree with the sentiment but this is for the lazy riders who don’t want to climb over the Bwlch to get to the next valley. I have often wished for an easier to get over there. 😁

Awesome idea, would be a long wait for the lights to change

Could do with some more thinking like this for older infrastructure
