do you think reversing a rear racing ralph will offer any more grip on short steep sloppy sections of singletrack?

Well what i really need is a fast racing tyre for the wet, something in between a ralph and a mud x

    an intermediate wet race tyre…

thought a reverse ralph ‘might’ offer a little more wet climbing grip

What you want sounds like a Tioga Factory Mud rear. Better back end pedalling action than a Bontrager Mud X, but with similar clearing and edge control.

I never take the factory muds off my BLT, they stay on all year round and i replace them late Autumn.
