Reverb not fully extending. Easy fix or warranty job?

Hi all. As above really, I noticed on my last ride that my Reverb Stealth is not returning to full extension and stops 20 to 30mm from the top. With the lever pressed in it can be pulled back to the top and there seems to be a noticeable ‘stiff’ point before it smooths out again. I will try a bleed but the lever feels fine compared to a previous Reverb I had that had bleed issues.

Anything else to try before I contact Evans about a warranty claim?

Check seat post clamp isn’t more than about 5Nm, check air pressure is close to 250 psi.

Mine did this -air pressure made no difference, warranty job. They make em more reliable so its worth gettng it done.

Air in the wrong side, have you been picking it up by the saddle when it’s down?

If it’s under warranty it’s easiest to just return. But doing a refresh- a service with no new parts- will almost certainly fix it too, it’s just air in the wrong place.

(people recommend to upgrade to the latest IFP but as far as I’m concerned it makes no difference, so after replacing one, I just refresh it)

Thanks all. Never knowingly pulled at it when it’s down (fnar) and it’s less than a year old so if I can’t sort it with a gentle tinker (wince) it’ll be off back.

NW- I don’t think air in the wrong place normally stops it returning, does it? It sags at the top but I think it tends to return OK.

As said above, if it’s in warranty -> warranty. I’ve done a few reverbs now and it can be a right faff. I managed to scratch the air shaft on one so it leaks. I’ll de-bob them with an external bleed and do a key/bushing service but I’m not sure the rest is worth the hassle unless you already have some very good shaft clamps.
