They should just be grateful for your custom instead of behaving like the fashion police.
Is it a curry house or an authentic high end SE Asian restaurant?
If the former, go elsewhere; if the latter and you really want to go, accept their policy but tell them when you’re there that the policy is unnecessary and overbearing.
Yep I think it pretty much is…
Just order your Curry delivered to your house and you can scoff it in the buff should you choose, Just be careful not to spill any Phall on your genitals. Unless of course that’s your thing, no judgement here…
A few years back when staying at Claridges they wouldn’t serve me in the bar on a hot saturday afternoon as I was wearing shorts. Lots of ladies had bare legs.
That evening in the restaurant (where I abided with their jacket and trouser policy ) we were sat next to a party where the elder gentleman wore his bucket hat and anorak throughout the meal and his son had his laptop on the table and ate his meal around it.
Wear some of those there trousers with the zip off bottoms.
Walk past the front of house, then when you are sat comfy , a quick stealth unzipping and you are sorted. Keep them attached at the end, then if you are spotted get someone to cause a distraction and zip those babies back up. They’ll never know what hit em 😉
I was upset when the restaurant refused to serve me because I was wearing shorts. It was my birthday chapati. I left raita there and then. I’ve bhuna round the world and it’s the first time it’s happened to me.
Yup it’s a dress code they have the right to refuse to serve as a restaurant. Naan up.
If it was a “no shorts” policy then I could see your point but they are specifically singling out men, so in theory, would allow women to wear shorts.
How is that not discriminatory?
