Hi, bit of a specific bit of help here and my google isn't coming up with the answer...maybe someone on here can help.
My employer gave me a new iphone to replace my current one. I transferred my profile and all details from the old 13 to the new 15 with no bother.
I am able to keep my old 13 for personal use but may just sell it.
After I transferred my profile across the 13 was completely reset and 'empty' and I should have left it like that...however, without thinking I started trying to get onto the phone to access the settings to find out what memory size it has. I started following the set-up prompts and put in my wifi password then entered a passcode for the phone. But the next bit of set-up is allocating an icloud profile and I don't want to do that and I'd like the blank phone to not have the passcode or recognise the wifi at home.
Any ideas how I can undo those couple of actions to take the phone back to being completely blank and therefore sellable?
Thanks!
But unfortunately I think you will need to complete the set-up and then factory reset now.
Yeah, thanks John...I now realise I didn't need to get back into the phone to find the information. And I suspect you're correct about having to complete the set-up before resetting...unless someone knows differently????
They are hard to spot, but I'm pretty sure there's still a "Skip" or "Do it later" button for every stage during the setup phase. There certainly was when I last did it about a year ago. Then just erase to factory settings.
Easiest way to factory reset is as you’ve already done once.
however, make sure you remove it from your list of devices before resetting.
