I’m looking to replace the rear Kenda Nevagal on my 29er, it doesn’t leave much mud clearance and feels quite draggy on smoother trails…. Can anyone recommend a non-ust 29er rear tyre suitable for most conditions that rolls well and isn’t too wide?

Try some of the Bonty tyres, they’re just larger dia. versions of their 26er tyres, which work pretty damned well, plus they’ll run tubed and tubeless.

2nd the Bonty – I’m using ACX 2.2’s which I’ve no complaints about. Keep thinking about trying a Mud X but haven’t got round to it yet.
