3 in that space of time suggests you have a bit of an issue! Word has clearly got around about the beef hula hoop supply.

    Have a dig around…

Let’s hope not. Apparently the beef hoola hoop packet was just rubbish from the garden

Re-set all the traps but it’s gone quiet. Trying an electric one that puts out 7000v so we’ll see if that works

Having owned both pet rats and pet mice, that sir is a mouse and as others have said if you’ve caught three in that short a time frame, you Sir, have a problem!

Much more fun with a .410.

I always feel guilty tipping a dead mouse out of a trap, rats on the other hand I’d happily nuke from orbit.

Well it’s been all quiet on the trap front since #3 so we’ll see how the night goes. Cat food as bait seems to be working well. Good job we just started an amazon subscription to it

Stable doors and bolts and all but… Do not leave the cat food or water out for your cat, feed it, throw away anything that’s left and clean the bowls. Homes with cats and dogs have more problems with rats (especially as they’re not usually bothered by your average house cat or dog) and mice than those without due to the left out bowls meaning ready availability of food.

Oh and that’s a rat (courtesy of Dudley zoo)

Still at least you’ve not got squirrels, I’ll swap if you like.

We’ve moved the cat food upstairs as thats where she spends 95% of her time asleep on the bed (and washed the bowls etc)

Overnight i caught 1 more which i was a bit surprised about. We’ll see how today goes. I’ve got 3 traps set so they have plenty to go at

Can’t believe no one has added this to this thread. Maybe it’s just too obvious. https://youtu.be/oLoXFmJBvlk

    It’s either a well-juiced mouse or a rat

Just using cat food in the form of IAMS Senior.

No action on the traps since 6am when i got rid of the one caught overnight. Was hoping to see if the electric one worked but that will have to wait for another day

are those electric ones any use? Ive had success with a joint campaign of poison, air rifle and snap traps. you have to keep going with it. its like they tell their mates where the food is!

I never got to find out. I caught 5 in the old style wooden traps and that was all of them gone. I still have the electric one set up under the cupboards, but there is no sign or sound of them now
