I tried onre of their down puffa jacket jobs in XL in a shop, but it was a bit tight across the shoulders (I am 46 / 47 inch chest) but good around my middle (36 inch – 38 inch jeans depending on cut)

I am tempted to order in a XXL but am a bit concerned in will be too big around my waist – bit of an issue I have with a lot of clothing. Too big round the middle and I can look a right bloater!

Any experience of sizing in these?

Also interested in the MECO 165 long sleeve tee – any experience of these?

I obviously can order and return, but it’s a bit of a faff..

    thanks

My Rab stuff is a bit like that – fits at the shoulders, loose at the waist. They all have a draw-cord waist adjuster, which I’ve used to tweak the fit on mine well enough.

I could probably have gone with the smaller size on my gear – I ordered mine on the big side as you always hear that Rab stuff comes up small, but I found that their size-chart was pretty bang-on.

I’ve heard Rab legwear tends to be on the long side. Is that true?

I wear Rab XXL stuff and I’m slightly more of a biffer than you (only slightly though).

I’m a 44 chest and 34/36 round the middle and “pretty” broad shoulders.

My Rab Extreme jacket is an XL which fits well at the top but it does have plenty of room at the waist. Makes me look a lot rounder than I really am but as I’m over 40 I’m only intrested in how warm it is 🙂

Have you looked at PHD stuff? I got a down gilet of them last year and will be going to them to replace the Rab when its needed. You need to look for their sales mind and youve just missed one.
