Bit gathering for Bogey the lardy whippet has been sllloooooowwwwww but I've got to a stage where I can start putting stuff on now. Here's where I'm up to. Brakes are all but sorted, might be another decade before I can afford some wheels.

I'm partically proud of the genuine Kwak Ninja decal. Still can't find a cool but cheap headbadge though 🙁

surely the ultimate bodge! ring bolts are mounted that way so as not to interfere with the shifting

if the backs of your bolts are interfering with shifting with that set up you have dropped the chain off the back of the ring anyway

and what the hell is that front mech?

and good luck trying to shift onto that big ring, it's designed to be run as a single ring so it's got no ramps or gate for the chain to climb on and through

nice paint though (before you think i'm a miserable barsteward)

It will still work just not so well. There was a time when there were no ramps on any chainrings. I've been running chainrings with no ramps for a couple of years and as long as the front mech is well setup you'd struggle to notice the difference.

    questions questions!

The frame is/was a 20" Norco Charger. It's Kwak green coz I've always wanted a green bike, even before it became fashionable. Gear cable will be trimmed once I have the appropriate hosary. Shimano SIS…aaahh you spotted it. The thinking is that coz it was designed for smaller 42t rings it'll handle a 40t ring no problem, and because it came from the industrial revolution it'll have sufficient grunt to push a chain on to a ring bereft of ramps etc. With the XO shifter it'll be like a Bowler Wildcat pulling a caravan.
