TBC thanks *blushes*

No more pics I’m afraid but I should try and get some as a few things have changed since those were taken last year. I might try and give it a bit of a clean and get a few more pics.

It’s already the best colour for an SX, I’d have liked mine more if it was brown.

So in conclusion, yellow. Otherwise you’re spending money for boring.

I tend to agree on the yellow I originally posted as its close to the SX/orange/yellow frame that I posted up just below. Black swing arm – deep yellow front.

I’ve done raw and raw can be done again at any point..

£30 and the place is excellent. Most powdercoaters carry regular stock of black, slate, grey etc with the odd primary and you have to order in if you want a different colour. This place (Stockport) has ALOT.

I’m looking to have a frame powder coated & am local to Stockport, would you mind emailing (in profile)the details of the company in Stockport please

It was all yellow by Northwindlowlander, on Flickr

RAL1026, lovely yellow yellow. More or less the same as Hammerite yellow too, if you ever need to touch up.

Very nice- RAL1026 looks alot ‘warmer’ there than it does on google images. I might go for RAL1023 (closest match that he has in). Very nice.

Aye, I was actually after 1023 but the coater recommended 1026, said it was a bit weak on flats but would look better on the tubes, the shadowing darkens it up nicely. He was quite right, shame he was **** all use at powdercoating really!

I thought 1026 was luminous/fluro? So like the yellow orange use?

The name’s luminous yellow, but in the flesh it was just a high gloss.

Got to be honest, I don’t have much faith in the coater man so it’s quite possible it’s some other colour.

It doesn’t look like the illuminous ‘sheen’ of the google images does it? Thats quite a harsh looking yellow. Whereas yours (could be the light) looks warmer and closer to my ral.

Hora, I’m local and looking for ral 1026. Was about to drop it to somewhere I used down south, but from what you are saying, he doesn’t have any in?

I’m going to give this place a try I think!

Good timing with the thread mate!!

Comparing it with screenshots it did look very similiar when you were looking at a flat, well lit piece. But o’course screenshots don’t always capture finish right, the original colours I picked out for the motorbike were nothing like.

Totally agree. beagle. I’ll check (are you localish?). There was another good place on the way to Guisburn, just after Bury as well if thats better?

I’m a few miles south of stockport, but pass up through lancs a lot, if there’s a decent one in/near Bury. Could always pop in the markets for some Xmas nuts and black pudding.

    Ta Hora.
