Don’t complain unless you were really hard done by,a lot of hard work can be undone in one fowl swoop.

A tiny little bit. Not much more than ensuring they are upto driving test standard.

I followed a police video van for nearly 5 miles on Saturday on my way home from work , not once in about 8 or 9 turns did the driver use their indicators!

    FWIW I could’ve been following a BMW

Depends which force and whether or not on blues and twos.

Assuming they have the right class license most forces will ‘permit to drive’ anyone who has passed the standard test.

Only response driving (on B&Ts) requires they undertake further training (hence why most forces refer to as the ‘standard’ course).

I’m guessing you had an issue with the standard of driving? I’d call the local nick and ask to speak to the Duty Inspector. I’m sure that will have the desired effect, if not consider a formal complaint to Supt.

Mail me if you don’t want to divulge details..

Transit vans dont have to use indicators – says so in the highway code.

That bloke was a complete and utter **** driving like that in flood water and if I had been a local resident suffering flooding I would have bollocked into him causing waves like that.

Can’t help thinking you’re trying to duck the issue.

was in Munich yesterday and a BMW 5-Series police car with its lights flashing came up to a crossing. he wanted to turn left. he turned in and the back end went fish tailing. looked really good. not sure if he meant to do it, but he controlled it well…

No, some coppers use indicators. Like the podgy rozzer in the Astra I was behind once.

Pity he turned the opposite way to the direction he was indicating, mind. 😕

I’ve had em pull out straight in front of me on roundabouts numerous times. They don’t even seem to look.

To drive a transit van – no, as long as the driver has passed the standard three week driving course. To drive a mercedes sprinter carrier van – yes, this is a separate specialist course. From memory, indicating is generally encouraged, although it has been a while…

Correct me if I’m wrong, but in that video of the police van getting stuck in the water, lots of people are laughing…..at the guys who have come out TO HELP THEM IN YOUR TIME OF CRISIS!!!???

Is that right? Jesus H **** christ.
