Posted some more in this thread 😉

A tree near our campsite taken on an old Olympus 5Mp compact, with some crude PP and cropping in Picasa. I have other efforts, but am struggling to upload at the moment.

    *edit*

Another example, but I accidentally uploaded at a low res, so not sure how this will appear.

And this one is not far off original, but again at low res.

Put this on the photo’s with good timing thread, but I’ll post it on here to because it took me a lot of attempts to get one before the drop had fallen out of shot!

Was originally aiming to get a drop taking up a lot more of the shot, but I quite like how this turned out

Went out with the dog tonight hoping for a bit of evening light on the poppy field I usually pass at 60mph – there was a little, very warm light so got the tripod set up quickly….

Then trudged up the hill to see what was happening on the other side – glad I made the effort now 😀

Just one more of the tree….

Not contributed in here for yonks. Focus is a bit ropey but hand-held macro at f5.6 with the subject at about 1cm distance is a bit challenging.

Apparently it’s probably a Cucumber Spider (araniella cucurbitina) but I’d have to examine its genitals to be 100% certain of the actual species…

Thanks guys – no idea why I’ve been sat on these for more than a year (well, apart from moving to the other side of the world and getting hitched)! One good thing about forgetting about photos for a years or so seems to be the surprise that some are actually reasonably good when you get round to editing and uploading them.

Thanks for the encouragement – hopefully I’ve some more decent ones hidden in the terabytes of dross on my PC…

My couple of photos that I’m proud of this month are…

This one has been chosen by camera wiki as an example of a Panasonic L1

And this one of our local run was used in our local paper. Not a great photo as my shutter speed was far too slow, but I’m pleased it was picked for the rag!
