have just got a digital camera (last thursday, a sony cyber-shot dsc w310) my first camera in 18 years.am quite chuffed with these (as i’m not a good photographer :-)

Like the top 2 ahser, not so convinced by the bottom one – pretty dark on my monitor (uncalibrated work monitor though).

The composition’s lovely, perhaps just needs a just more on the exposure?

I got yet another old TV lens to play with. The light wasn’t good but I’m pleased with the results.

Here’s one of Kasper my dog, taken in the home studio earlier. Mostly just a technical exercise to try shooting a white subject against a white background…

And here’s the lighting setup;

Also used a NDx8 (!) filter so I could keep the apperture wide open (either f2.8 or f4 IIRC in the photo above). Gave me a bit of a magenta cast, even though it’s a half decent Hoya Pro filter – no worries though – easily corrected in Lightroom.

@ user-removed – doesn’t all that stuff get in the way of the telly a bit? :-)
