Took our kids to the Highland Wildlife Park last week – managed to jostle for a few good shots, despite the Easter holiday crowds…

Been a while since I posted in here. Just a couple of new ones taken recently. Been playing a lot with tonemapped HDR stuff. It’s not something I’m a big fan of on the whole but it was fun having a go at it.

WOW! Those riding ones are super-professional, and for the record, I like the dusty B&W one too.

Not such a fan of the luminescent HDR treatment, but I guess I’ve played about with it more than a bit myself in the past. I just find it a bit too artificial, but if that’s the look that you’re going for, then it’s done well. First cat one’s good too.

Anyway, more of my own humble attempts at trying to make Bolton look like it might be a nice place…

Off the hip so quality poor but it catches the atmosphere of Portobello Market I think.

After an ace ride today, loving how this came out:

Click through for the rest of the set, pretty happy with a lot of them.

Dry sunny trails, and no walkers around – perfect bank holiday ride.

Carb loading as a recovery from the wettest coldest ride I’ve had in a while. The thought of this was all that kept me sane.

Heavily filtered and messed around with, but still makes me think of a nice spring day

On my ride today I decided to photograph every type of wildflower I saw. I was taking a photo of a very nice blue flower and just as I snapped it, a bumblebee bumbled into the frame.

This is the Douglas Iris (iridaceae douglasiana), which is highly variable in color, from pure white to dark blue..
