    Stuart. The landlord.
He was concerned as there was customers in the direction the camera was pointing.
Which was true as i wanted them drinking and out of focus in the shot.

Fair enough he was just avoiding complaints from his punters.

Lovely stuff grumm. That 2nd one beats several top tog’s engagement shoots I’ve seen recently!

Cheers :). Was wondering if I could mebbe pick your brains about wedding photography btw?

Grumm – the robin shot is excellent. The small flash of red really draws the eye.

Ta :). Wasn’t sure if the robin was too small – it does look better bigger

zokes – what do you use for PP? I find it very quick to do in Lightroom 3.

i cycled to fife from edinburgh today. it was really great. this is a shot from the fife forth road bridge viewing platform. it was only about half one but fife was shrouded in fog/low cloud – hence the sun looking like a nighttime moon…

Grumm – LR2 at the moment. Trying to persuade the OH that CS5 and LR3 are necessities, but buying my wideangle lens seems to to have affected that argument somewhat. Picking up my shiny Gitzo CF tripod when I’m back in the UK too – looks like software will have to wait. Sadly, I’ve run out of affiliations with universities so will have to pay full whack for it 🙁

If that’s the Canon you’re talking about, I had one loved it and sold it. 🙁 A really beautiful lens, great colour, great bokeh just too damned slow at focusing for me, so it had to go…

There appears to be a bit of a snowy theme going on here. Great pics too.

Nikon D3100, 18-55VR kit lens here. Very light and quick to use. ISO into huge numbers still usable with VR to stop shake, need to sit down and get proper control of the focus, or use it in manual more. Possibly too much info going on in the LCD but I prefer the viewfinder anyway. Will have to set it in RAW and start to play with off camera dabbling once I get the time too. Haven’t had a chance to read much of the manual yet so there may be solutions to the niggles. I usd to use a Pentax MX which was manual only with a simple meter so it’s a bit of a shock all these controls.

Did a family portrait shoot yesterday. They are super cheesy but the family is very chuffed with the results.
