Yeah I avoided the towpath and river on purpose, when I crossed the gravel path north of the woods I looked the opposite way to the way I was going and it looked like a sea of people walking down it..
This is the time to go out, just before sunset. Barely a soul out there – it was a little eerie actually. I could hear the clack-clack of a train that was over a kilometre away, just caught sight of it before it disappeared behind the trees.
We had a snow storm above 400m last weekend, finally melting but still buggery cold up high early doors. Social distancing in effect, Jeff’s a lot faster than me on the way up, but we change places on the way down 🙂
Beautiful day today, me and the boy got up to the Downs on our hardtails.
