Please bear with me on this, as I’m experimenting with the bargain SJ4000.    This is an unedited clip from last nights ride with Jnr.    Please forgive the:

a) Inept Camera work

b) Frustrated dad – volume down to cut out the moaning – Jnr was having a bit switch off brain wise but I made it up to him post ride with cake

c) Its was much darker than it looked in the forest hence the quality, also its a £50 camera.

An amazing 3hr training ride today.   Half dry, half of it in the rain.  Yesterdays rain did nothing but dampen down the dust which led to a much grippier trail today, awesome.

I just can’t get into sour beers, I love the stout fixed wheel do though 👌

Picked the new bike up this morning so spent the afternoon swapping stuff about. Wheels, bars, mech, cassette, chain and shifter. Just got the forks and brakes to do before it gets ridden.

Went out this morning as the forecast was better today – it still rained almost constantly! I’m still running my near slick summer tyres which made for a slippy seat of the pants descent in some now muddy sections…

Officially the summit is 6 miles from my house. #naughty

And @Tracey – that is the most amazing of paint jobs…

When I went on my ride there were 4 Eccles cakes in my bag.
When I got back there was only one.
And now that seems to have vanished. Spooky.

@eddiebaby Haribo should be from the tub otherwise there’s not enough. (Tubs are kilo each from cash n carry). Good effort on the eccles cakes though.

First drive to ride since March and finally got the new bike muddy.

No real MTB from my door step but always finding new skinny walls to ride off.

PS I’m not 12, honestly.

Myself and Mrs Ready having much fun at Danbury on a midweek day off.

Road bike got a roll into work and back today.

Ok, it’s 7 miles away. However we didn’t see anyone on a 10km bog hop and forest road bimble.

Of course it stopped raining as I started the last descent to Dunblane…

First paddle of the year, stretching “broadly 5 miles” to 8. Ran back home afterwards too, so I guess that’s 2 today!
