Peatys Bike Bonanza

Couldn’t see any threads about Peatys Bike Bonanza yesterday, apologies if this is a duplicate.

Did anyone go? Any mega bargains?  Is it always that busy and mental?!?!

Apparently people were queuing from 6 am, entry wasn’t until 10 am. I got there at 9:15, managed to do a lap before it got too crazy, bought what I wanted, drank a couple of complimentary cans of monster and got out of there for 10:45. Was a few bits I wanted to go back to see but there was no chance of getting close to most of the stands after 10:30ish.

I managed to get my hands on an 18 bikes no9 hardtail frame in a stunning purple finish, absolute bargain at £250 because it had a mark on it from storage. Very excited to dig round my spares box and get it built up for some winter riding motivation.

Great event, obviously very well attended and popular but wow I did not expect it to be so hectic!

We were there as a private seller. Done it every year since it started at Ponds Forge mainly to sell on our daughters race gear. We nearly didn’t go this year as she has been in NZ for the last 18 months and didn’t think it would be worthwhile.

As it was we didn’t get a minute.

Place was heaving from opening till just before it closed. Don’t think I’ve ever seen it so busy

Sold far more than we expected and didn’t get time to wander round to get any bargains so saved a bit.
