Can anyone tell me the name of those saddle/handle bar roll bags that some of the mags raved about a few years ago?

Epic Designs (Alaska) or Ortlieb (Germany) of Carousel Designs (California) all do similar stuff but the Yanks are more off road friendly but expensive whereas Ortlieb are kings of waterproofness.(and quite expensive but readily available)

which one would you carry a laptop in? Although I do worry about the bounce factor on the pannier

I have recently purchased a set of ortleib back roller classics and they like other ortleib kit I have are bombproof. Beautifully made and functional.

Personally I’d carry a laptop in a rucksack on my back to avoid it shaking to bits on the bike, the roll bag suppliers above are all into camping/ bivvying setups.
