Anyone got a clue of how to pack them up without a massive box?

Also how much to post do you reckon?

    Cheers.

They’re pretty bomb-proof. Couple of those garden strength bin bags with parcel tape around has worked for me in the past.

Figure of 8 and then fold over into a 0.

It’s less twisting to make 3 loops than 2. That said I’d go with a bin bag and parcel tape

No, no, no – not a figure 8, that’ll damage the bead.

The real way is to fold the two sides together and past each other, so you end up with a OOO shape, and then fold the two side wings into the middle. That way it’s even smaller than folded in half, and you don’t put a kink in the bead.

    Better still…

Hold at quarter to three then push 12 o clock away from you and down to six but come back up inside the loop.
This should create a twist in the circumference of the tyre which will naturally want to coil itself into three neat loops!
It’s how they package Vee belts.

Check postage costs before you list them. Last pair of tyres I sold cleared me about 4 quid after I sold them for £18 or thereabouts.

Same way you fold bandsaw blades. There’s a slower way of doing the same thing by making a sort-of cloverleaf pattern.

    Do what I do.

Put them in the back of the garage with all the other ‘mistakes’ 🙂

I’ve never tried to fold them – I figured that if they were delivered from Wiggle/where-ever as big round objects that’s the way they should stay. Hence why I never sent my Marathon Plus’s back to Wiggle as the parcel size would be too large for the free return service.
