osprey escapist 20 – anyone got one?

I’m thinking one of these for commuting.

needs to carry

pants, jumper, socks, undies & shoes (possibly a coat)

I have a osprey raptor 10l and think it is very robust. this is why I’d like to stick to osprey.

I have the Escapist 25 and it’s a great pack, go for it.

I’ve got an Escapist 25. I generally carry waterproof, (small) laptop, shirt, pants, socks, tablet doodah. I’d imagine that shoes, coat and jumper would be a bit bulky for mine, depending no how chunky they are, so perhaps quite a squeeze in a 20.

i have a 30 and like it a lot. I would guess the size of your shoes would determine which size pack you need. I can get mine (size 11) just into the separate compartment at the bottom if required.

I went for the biggest one as it compresses down well. It does get mostly used for non bike stuff though.

Can you not leave your day shoes at work? Depends on your job of course but I used to leave a pair under my desk and commuted in spd’s.
20l was fine in my experience.

yeah could do. in my raptor 10 I can fit size 9 trainers, shorts or pants & a t-shirt (but its a squeeze).

I’d probably not need a coat most of the time thinking about it.

Another vote here for the Escapist 25L, which should carry all of that lot quite readily.
Size wise though, I’d be careful- I bought the S/M and am delighted with the fit, even at 5’11” and slightly long legged for my height, so have a shorter spine. I still find the top of the bag needs snugged down slightly with the top adjustment straps to prevent the edge touching the back of my lid sometimes.
Exactly the same thing applies to my Black Diamond ski touring pack.
