Has anyone here dismantled the pivot on a late model (2020 on) Stage 6?  If so, how many spacers should there be?  Just one either side?  I’ve just replaced the bearings on mine and there is too much of a gap (just under 1mm) for 1 spacer either side to fill and I’m wondering if I dropped a thin one when I dismantled it.  The new bearings are fully seated, but there’s still a gap (pulled in with a tool).  There is no visible damage to the swing arm so I’m ruling anything sinister. It is a second hand frame but is in very very good condition (not so good that it could have been repainted).  I should have paid more attention whilst dismantling but just assumed it was the same as my 2010 patriot.  I have a lathe so can turn a new spacer to fill the gap.

These instructions suggest it is only one spacer each side.  Were the new bearings the correct depth? Edit bearing depth wouldn’t make any difference to the gap you have would it

Assuming Stage 6 has same pivot arrangement as a Four, it’s probably just badly worn spacers. Check the ends of the pin for wear carefully, I needed to replace that as well. Just give Orange a call or pop in you’re local, don’t think they list the parts on their website but they should have them in. I couldn’t believe how worn my old spacers were when put next to new ones.

    Edit…

Just saw the bit about having a lathe. Even better, just make up a spare set as well whilst you’re at it
