I was just looking on the Kinesis website for the photos of the Tripster atop Ventoux with, what I think were 25mm Contis on it. Mine ran for a long while with 25 or 28mm (road) tyres. I’m currently thoroughly enjoying 32mm Schwalbe Duranos that are quick and stable – even in the crap conditions at the moment.
It’s a fast, willing, road bike. Don’t knock it for the fact it can run tractor tyres – you’d be missing out on an absolute treat. There are lots more people doing much more offroad than I’ve ventured, but knowing I can stick some 40mm knobblies on it gives me n+1 without cluttering up the garage. When I bought my first (alloy) Tripster, I sold my hardtail within a few weeks… When I bought the ATR, I sold the carbon road bike within a few weeks…
