I fancy a pair of these, but would need to order online. Anyone any experience of sizing ? I am a UK 8 (42) normally, I take a size up in Sidis (doesnt everyone !!) Will I get away with a 42 or would a 43 be a better starting point ?

    they are very narrow.
plus dont forget to allow room for winter socks

think mine are technically about two sizes too big.
Dont try to pull them on with the fabric loops on the heel, they will break.

May be better to initially order some 43s then I suspect, I can of course send them back, but it all takes time etc so would like toget it right first time

I have these and some of there summer shoes in a size 41 and thats my normal size. I have found that the toe box is nice and roomy (i have flat feet). I also only use my normal socks in them and have yet to have cold feet.

I've a pair in a 46; Specialised BG Sport in 45, Sidi in Mega (wide) 45 and normal shoes 44. With thin socks they are roomy and a 45 would be OK for me – but with a pair of woolie boolie socks the 46 is a great fit (and hot feet).

Personally I'd go for a pair of the Shimano winter boots.

I would recommend sizing up at least one size, two if you have wide feet. I just can't get them to fit my feet.

I take a 46 in Specialized and Diadora. I bought a pair of Celcius boots last year, and found their 46 quite big. They fit perfectly with a pair of seal skinz socks. I think that combination makes for the perfect winter footwear.

Great boots, with a good stiff sole. I take a 48 in Shimano, but got away with a 47 in the Celsius.

I agree, these are toastie boots and recommend them, I bought a size too big assuming I'd wear thicker socks but generally find I dont need to. They are fine even with the additional room this gives but if I bought again I'd buy my usual shoe size.

I disagree, not warm boots (my MT90's are much better), won't be buying more once they die completely.

my only gripe with these otherwise great boots is the ankle cuff is rigid and looks like a wizard's sleeve with my skinny legs.

When riding in snow in France last year I got a lot of snow down the ankle cuff that turned into an icy collar. brrrrrrrr.

Thought next time Id wear gaters with them, or maybe some gaffer tape round the top…

MTBfix, can you do the same for a 47. My email's in my profile if so as I'd be interested. Sorry I don't know which shop you run assuming you manage one but drop me details on how you'd want paying too?

I emailed him for some more information after, and he was due to go off work on paternity leave, which is why you proabably arent getting a response. It is a major bike shop so there is others that he has said wil help you out with the same deal. Email me and I will let you have the details.

Sorry, my bad for not checking the thread. We have the 08/09 shoe in 47 and these are sub£80 to clear http://www.awcycles.co.uk/category/cycle_clothing/mtb_shoes_246/Celsius_GTX_winter_MTB_shoe_08~09/12076/index.aspx

Good boots, they are bit narrow but quite roomy otherwise. You'll need better insoles for cold (sub zero C) temps – thick wool ones with foil on the other side or something like that.
They do dry very slowly though, the Gore-tex works in that direction too.
