My Dad has taken up mtb in his late 60s, having fallen in love with his ebike. However he can be a bit prone to crashing and Mum has very sensibly suggested a skills course. Any recommendations of providers in North Yorkshire? Dalby and Sutton Bank are both close to them but could travel a bit for the right coach.

These do courses at Dalby forest, both group sessions and 1-1.

There’s also the cycle hub at Dalby forest but their courses only run in spring and summer.

Karen van Meerbeck used to coach out of the cycle hub at Fryup. She used to be Danby based and I think is still local.

Nice take from your mum. The suggestions I got are quite the opposite, i.e. doing skills courses means I’m pushing more and more confident. Which I suppose is somewhat true.

    Two good options. Thank you.
He could also make it up to Hamsterley forest.
