Interesting, love my gen 1 Cortex and had been contemplating a switch to the Evol frame and a parts transfer but that could be more bike then i want for majority of my riding  (really want a Cotic Flare). This would seem to cover all requirements, will have to have a sit on one in store at the next opportunity.

Hm, wonder if they will knock out any gen1 frames are a nice price. I’ve got a 120mm SID that is just begging for a 120mm frame to go with it!

    Nice. But …

prefer more travel. Prefer shocks aligned with the seat tube rather than the top tube.

I do like my Evol but it’s unfortunate for the Cortex that the Chisel FS came out last week…

And you have to spend £3k to get a fork that’s not shit.

I agree with this, but the Chisel will be way lighter than this, so an XC bike vs trail bike. They even call the frame “sturdy” in the blurb.

Which is also very similar to a Giant ATX990 and every bike that has a similar outline in the 25 years since.

You realise there’s a chance they come out of the same factory, or if not – that the Taiwanese factories use very similar frame parts and construction techniques?

You weren’t suggesting there was copying gong on or anything like that?
