    Random requirements are:

    fit with 115mm fork
loads of mud and tyre room
more bling than my Rockrider 8.2 frame

    Possibilities (lacking any logic):

    Cotic Bfe
    Orange Crush
    One One?
    Ragley piglet

    Any recommendations?

Orange Crush frame could be bought from local dealer, which would make me feel like I was actually supporting bike shops.

try and get a test ride from the lbs, and if you like it then why not?
Support them and they’ ll be more likely to help you out longer term too.
All them frames get good reviews so unlikely to go wrong with any, but its hard to recomend without you giving a bit more info as to how you ride.
I think they mostly are designed for 120-140mm forks though, but should be ok at 115. pretty sure on-one inbred is a 110-120 frame, worth checking out.
    Anyway, good luck

Chumba HX1? has an EBB if you wanted to run singlespeed, will run well with 120mm forks and is finished to a very high quality. £299

    I fancied a 456.
But no frames at all on the website, let alone an 18″ in chocolate brown!
But worried about the hangers though.
Does it cause many problems not having a replaceable hanger?
I have broken a couple in my time 😳

BFes will be £300 from tomorrow.

Would be where my money goes. In fact it is, I’ll be getting one in the next couple of months or so

Is the Bfe price going to stick at £300 for a while or is it a sale price?

The HX1s look quite nice. How stiff/harsh feeling are they though, and how much abuse will they take?

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder (or owner) obviously.

I’ve got an hx1 and it’s blimin great. It’s very solid up front tracking well and at the back but oddly it’s very comfy. I also have a chameleon and it’s tonnes better. Lighter too.

Can’t recommend it enough. At 299 they are a steal

I like my Pipedream Sirius (and they do the slightly lighter Scion). Rated for 90-130mm forks.

    I’ll second the Rocklobster 853.

Not the lightest, but a lovely ride. The only downside is the brittle/easily chipped paint.

Currently wondering about a move from 100 to 120mm forks. It has seen me from cycling in to Culra Bothy to Dales days, landegla and Coed-y.

Slightly ambiguous – which is better?

I don’t know if I’m being rinded here, I guess I am, but the hx1 is better than the chameleon

    Rind away!

My HX1 with Spesh Purgatorys is just as comfy as my Pipedream Scion on Nevs.

My previous HX1 was a much harsher ride – I did a straight swap of all my kit onto the new frame and the difference was like night and day.
