Well technically a new frame. Bought a cheap Bird Zero 29 MK1.1. Arrived this morning and parts from old bike all transferred over. The old boost axle didn’t fit (wrong thread pitch) so I pinched one from my son’s bike!

Short shakedown ride this evening and it’s great. Really confidence inspiring but still playful. Was grinning and laughing like an idiot.

In addition to the rear axle I need to get a longer dropper (whatever the Brand-x equivalent is nowadays), add a chainstay protector and sort out the cable and hose routing.

I love my Zero 29. I bought my first full suss this summer bug I’ve only ridden it twice because the Zero is much fun. I’ve got a Bird dropper and it’s been faultless. Enjoy.

So inner tube chainstay protector added, bolt through axle purchased and new more appropriate dropper post installed. Also tweaked the fork and that’s working nicely for me now, even though it’s a cheap Revelation with the MC damper.

Still loving it, think the weather helps.

What weather are you talking about? It’s been raining here every day since Sunday in Bristol?!
