Oh yeah, you’re right! I just saw it as a security comment. But yes, it’ll be the easiest I’ve ever had it when it comes to just grabbing the bike and heading out. No more emerging from the cellar covered in spiders or climbing over the contents of a landlord’s shed.

As for security, for various reasons to do with lights, CCTV, the shape of the street etc if some scumbag is going to try and get in they will 100% go for the back door. But I’ve got a plan for that…

I fitted a unit similar to this on a wall

Hartleys White 9 Cube Unit & 4 Grey Storage Drawers https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01N1NV15J/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_EWmKEb0KAAXF1

    Great for helmets, gloves etc

Just hi jacking your thred, I have a shed app 11×7,there’s about 300mm between the joist so a convenient space for those leD light panels, would two 600 x 309 be too much? Also what white? Warm white? Or would that be too white?

Warm white is what you want, cool white is horribly stark IMO

I used 4 of these in my 10×3 meter workshop/log cabin

Personally I would use cool white LEDs as I find it the most useful light to work with

Disagree as does every manufacturer, 6500K is daylight equivalent, warm white is 3000K and rubbish to work in.

Tidy 100, even if it is the later one with van mirrors 😉

Our garage is still building site storage, but aiming to be able to get half a car in for servicing, although we can only theoretically get the 100 or a lightweight car like a Caterham up the side of the house to it.

Our garage is a little wider than average, so bench and storage down the side, bikes to go on back wall.

Would be tempted with yours to put a partition wall between concrete and tarmac sections so you can hose down at the front with the door just up a tiny bit to let the water out as I would guess being old drive way it is designed to drain away from the original garage.
