I surf both sites, usually much more on here as way more info & fun stuff going on, loads more users too, but popped over to MTBE for the first time in a month or so & seems there’s been some sort of ruck???

Been on here mostly for a long time now as a bit dead over there but pop back now and again. Looks like it is pretty much over now though…

One day I tried to log into the site to find out that my entire account had been erased without any explanation or warning. The only reason I can think of was because I expressed my opinion on an issue we were having on the forum…. We were having a lot of issues with 1 hit wonders trying to sell bikes that were clearly stolen, someone suggested that we should pay a subscription to be able to sell items on the site. I disagreed with this and, I said that the site already has a subscription and for that you would be entered into a monthly competition and regular discount codes would be shown to subscribed members, the monthly competition went dead after a month or two and the discount section never really got off the ground, I thought that there was a lack of effort from the site owners on this front.

A trouble maker eh?

Nope, very much the opposite, I was originally a subscribed member, never got into confrontations and had helped a vast amount of members with issues they had had over the years. The proof of all that is the amount of members who have all come and questioned the reasons for my banning…. Pretty much all of them have now been banned too!

Hi all Jimbo here reporting for duty! I’ve not been banned but could only be a matter of time (plus I want to sell my helmet first!). I hope not as I really enjoyed MTBE but really disappointed about what has gone on. Looks like I must have just bought my Cube when i first registered on here 😆

MTBE always seemed to me the place you went when first starting out and you were too scared to come on here. That’s what I did. The more I learned the more sites I registered with and the less time I visited MTBE, I’d hardly been on there for months.

There was sill a decent community who stuck around though but the first warning sign was Richie getting banned.

It was pretty easy tbh, each area had its own forum plus we all mucked in on the general forums too, worked pretty well tbf. I was part of the Cannock Chapter (I invented that one if I can say that without appearing boastful) and we would meet up for regular forum rides.

Bike radar and PB and sometimes that American one with even more sub-forums than MTBE, can’t remember it’s name. 🙂
