I thought I’d just do a little update to this thread.
This morning I took a little ride over to a rather wet Swinley on a Kona Remote hardtail ebike loaned to me by my son’s girlfriend.
I spent about 2 hours over there. The first bit was mainly me playing around with the settings – motor off, eco, trail, and boost.
Then I did some easy trails getting used to a hardtail again and the weight of the bike (I usually ride a Kona Hei Hei CR/DL) the braking and general handling. Then I played a little more seriously. I have to say I found it really good fun…. especially the pedally Swinley features and, of course, the climbs. The bike was a little small for me but not enough to spoil things.
I’m tempted. I enjoyed covering so much ground without the need to take so many recovery breaks. Having said that I felt like I’d had a good workout.
